Yes, that is a free forever virus protector and is all you need. The computer came with McAfee which is a virus itself, so I highly recommend removing McAfee if it allows you to (didn't allow me to remove it, proving it's a virus).

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Most windows computers don't come with an anti-virus (McAfee, Norton, etc). Windows Defender is a built-in, extra layer of security that just comes with Windows, however It isn't perfect and I'd recommend picking up a separate anti-virus anyway.

I would recommend downloading and installing Avast free anti-virus. It's light on system resources, and works well for a free program. Other protection I would recommend is AVG. But like I said. Enabling Windows Defender to do all that it can will certainly cover most if not all of your bases. It is what I am testing personally, and thus far (2 months) I haven't had an issue.

Got some notifications tht the program had removed some things but over all it did what a virus program would do, but it comes with Mc Agee on it and if u delete it like I did, u will get messages posing up on ur computer when it is restarted or logged n to to install it. I never hve tho cause I dnt like tht program.
