“My screen will occasionally go dark for a couple seconds usually during a game, then come back, almost like it's refreshing or something. Is this something to do with my graphics card, and maybe something I can adjust in the settings in the Armory Crate?”

If this happens when loading a game, this is most likely the game changing from windowed to full screen.
