“it came with the extra screws and the cable, so I bought an ssd but after attaching the cable and inserting it where it's labeled "HDD", the laptop still doesn't recognize it.. I also initialized the drive before installing it.. HELP!!!!”

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Ensure you have the little ribbon cable fully inserted to the black line. Then push the little black tab down on the MB connector to ensure ribbon is locked down. If that doesn’t help, then spam the F2 button right after power on to access the UEFI and see if the hard drive is being recognized there. Mine worked without a hitch.
