“I just ordered this on an impulse but now I am scared about the cooling issues. Have they been addressed at all with any updates or are these exactly the same as they were 6 months ago? I think I already know the answer but I figured asking wouldn't hurt.”

Still the same. The issue is the cpu cooler and the rear exhaust fan. The cpu cooler is really anemic and can't contain the power hungry cpu and the back fan is a 3 pin DC fan so it runs super loud
