• the dongle is USB A. there is no adapter, however there are bluetooth options for pairing to your Rog Ally Xbox. I use the controller wirelessly with the White Z1E Ally and it works fine.

• It is a usb a dongle. The dongle can be used in the included charger and the cable that comes with it is usb a to usb c. You can use an ordinary usb-c to usb-c cable to connect the charger (with the dongle attached) to the xbox ally x and it works fine. I also have used a usb-a female to usb-c male adapter and that also works.
