“Is the Wi-Fi card in this computer made by Mediatek? If so, what model number? Is it free of the known defects that caused other laptops like the G533 to lose wireless connectivity after entering sleep mode?”

• My understanding is that those problems were either driver problems (that should be fixed by now via updated drivers) and/or issues with Windows per se. That’s what I read but I don’t own on (yet). If an owner wants to weigh in, that would be sweet.

• No, the WIFI device or controller is a Realtek chip. There is no known issues with the Realtek WIFI device.
