backlight has been a lottery even on Razer Blades.

Please try again later.My backlight was fine and i do hear coil whine but not really since it purely used for gaming and you o ly hear it for a second before the fans ramp up. Plus it really hard to hear that with a headset on. On top of that the coil whine doesn't really bother me to begin with. Besides all that this generation is extremely powerful. It literally smoked my 12900k in any benchmarks. Coming from a laptop and only one generation up I take that as a huge jump. Literally made me go out the next day and buy a 13900k to update my desktop. Really is a good laptop and you can't beat that price.
