The PCIe slots are 3.0. 64GB is not officially supported, but users have reported it working fine. The power supply is 280w. Poor liquid metal application is speculated to be the culprit on dead GPUs, but that's anecdotal. Not enough of them have been torn down to be analyzed and Asus hasn't said anything.
