How to check if you have an issue: The VBIOS will fail to update in the MyASUS application, the driver for the 6800M display adapter will return error code 43, and the GPU can melt, as you can see from the other reviewer's photos. You can also open the Radeon software and check if only the integrated Radeon display adapter appears. The IGPU will be the only functional video adapter, and that will offer generally poor performance. If you are lucky and get a functional laptop out of the box, you may want to apply extra cooling (like a laptop cooling pad, at the very least) and so some benchmark stress testing to see if your liquid metal was applied well enough to withstand the test of time. Good luck!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hey, I've had my G15 Advantage Edition for a couple months. I updated the Bios to V315 manually. I personally don't trust apps to do the job. I updated my laptop in this order: Windows 10 updated to feature update 21H1 - not Windows 11 - wait on W11 it's not ready for gamers. Bios to v315 using EZ flash utility downloaded off Asus support page for this laptop AMD hardware auto detect utility off AMD site The auto detect installs both the best GPU driver and Radeon software but also updates the chipset drivers (super important). Lastly, a heads up. The Asus armory crate software is buggy. I found it to be. I uninstalled it, did all of these updates, then reinstalled it. Works fine after that. I've had to uninstall/reinstall a couple times now. It crashed after updating and wouldn't open. Hope all this helps! - Nacho
