• No this laptop keeps the Temps within spec without throttling, some other laptops don't have adequate cooling which is what causes the performance hits on certain models.

• There are ways to remedy thermal issues that are a common trait among all gaming notebooks. The first way would be to set your fans to performance mode. Another way would be to a laptop cooler to help improve the notebook's airflow.
