• Yes. I use a basic star tech one from usb c to full size DisplayPort

• There are plenty of USB-C to DisplayPort/HDMI cables out there which will do the job (and adapters exist too). I'm currently using a USB-C to DP cable on this laptop and it works perfectly fine for my external monitor at 1440p 165hz along with Freesync. If you want to use FreeSync with HDMI, better check to make sure your monitor actually supports it.
