Yes the m.2 is good. It’s no EVO but it’s pretty fast. There is room for another 2.5 SSD. However it seems tailored for SSD Slims and fitting a mechanical or hybrid drive may be tight but doable. Gsync is not really an issue as the 144hz panel is more than enough for a laptop. Battery is a LIon 66,000 mWh. Battery life report in win10 on mine states an average of 2.5 to 2.75 hours on battery with no power saving options. With this not being a less powerful Max-Q that’s about average for a high performance gaming laptop and could be increased with settings. But it’s not really meant for mobile gaming/use. Just form factor..

You check the link for a video a made https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UtVwTa_KlCo&t=110s Now in turns of the battery I can use this laptop for about 4 hours while editing photos but again is not gaming when ever im playing my games i have plug in for the best performance possible. I love this laptop
