"G-Sync" will not work with the latest console generation only because G-Sync is currently only compatible with DisplayPort and not HDMI. "G-Sync compatible" monitors in the near future may support VRR but not at the moment. You need HDMI 2.1 for VRR to be supported and this specific monitor is HDMI 2.0 (there will not be a firmware update either because HDMI 2.0 vs 2.1 is a hardware limitation).
