• One of the sticks is soldered to the board, so you can only upgrade one 8gb stick. This shouldn't effect thermals at all, but sometimes using 2 different size sticks could cause stability issues though uncommon.

• You are able to upgrade one of the two 8gb Dimms, but the other one is soldered on. You’ll lose dual channel speeds for RAM usage exceeding 16gb. Your computer should not be any noticeably warmer.
