Hey! A cooling pad actually isn’t necessary but more specifically related to preference. I’m currently running on the Asus Rog and haven’t had any issues without a cooling pad. Naturally gaming laptops are going to run hot, but that’s just part of the design. You can also reduce the heat of the system by adjusting power and system performance settings. Hope this helps!
