Check it out for yourself see if you like it and if you don't, just return it during the return period. The reviews I saw were pretty positive check out Dave2Ds review on this laptop on YT (2022 Asus Zephyrus G14 Review - AMD POWER!!). But no matter what laptop you get your going to get negative reviews because no laptop is perfect and everyone has a different opinion, so I think its really based on personal opinion, so see if you like it for yourself if you don't, you can always return it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All (or at least 95%+ of the negative reviews were for last year's model. I know cuz I shopped the 2021 model with the 5900HS CPU and took notes for when the new one was released, and all the bad reviews were there at the time of the 2021 model (which was pretty darn good, but had a few minor glitches, such as the keys not quite as good as the 2022 model, the trackpad smaller (it's huge in the 2022 model), etc. Best Buy does a horrible job at managing reviews in my opinion. Just because it's the updated version of last year's model, they should not keep last year's reviews, they should clear those out, cuz most of those problems are fixed. I would note two possible issues. The speakers have been revised and placement is better but the demo I heard suggests the speaker quality is bad (good news: you now have a webcam; bad news: your friends will think you have a cold). Also, I am not sure if the problem remains that out-of-the box it defaults to Turbo Mode. Set it to Performance Mode and leave it there. Briefly set it to Turbo just to impress your friends that it contains a jet airplane, then set it back. You will never need Turbo to game. Turbo quadruples the noise and heat for a 10% gain in frame rate, and a possible premature trip to the Geek Squad. Several great reviews out there. See ... FWIW it's hot and loud under load and if you use a mouse+keyboard the palm rest gets uncomfortable in about 10 minutes. The drivers need some maturity for the video card as I ran into issues with a few games just not working well. If you want this form factor I would recommend the QHD 2021 (still warm palmrests) version on sale for ~$1250 OR the G15 3070 version on sale for ~$1500 any day.
