You may need to re-install the drivers or install the new updates and it should fix the keyboard backlight issue. I had the same issue from one day to another it stopped working. Go to the ASUS website ( https://www.asus.com/us/support/ ) and look for your model and download the new drivers or look on your computer for updates.
