This version has an RTX3080 and 32GB RAM, the other one has an RTX3070 and 16GB RAM. The RAM makes a big difference, since half of it comes soldered, meaning they can charge more for the upgrade to 32GB. The white finish is also more expensive.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You have to be careful when looking at this ASUS G15 line of laptops. The white one (this model here) is the ONLY one that has 16GB of ram memory soldered on the motherboard. That means this model can be upgraded to a max of 48GB ram memory by adding a 32GB SODIMM memory card. If you add at least a 16GB SODIMM card to this model you will then have 32GB of ram memory running at maximum speed. All other models only have 8GB of ram memory soldered on the motherboard. That means they can only have a maximum of 16GB memory running at maximum speed no matter how big a SODIMM card you add to it. All other models are limited to a max of 40GB total. They can only have 16GB running at max speed and the rest of the 40GB runs at reduced speed. Plus the RTX 3080 advantage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Asus says the white paint job wasn't easy to pull off, needed 4 coats, and was expensive.. that's all I know.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There is a near clone of this in Eclipse Gray that also has a 3080 GPU. However, that uses a Ryzen 9 4000 series CPU. This one is one of very few laptops using a Ryzen 9 5000 series. Which honestly puts it in a much better bracket. There's also 16GB more of RAM. adding to the price difference.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The white color cost Asus a premium.
