“Which version of the gpu does this come with? I'm not trying to dump thousands of dollars on the low spec "quiet" version.”

It comes with the RTX3080 80w and boosts to 100w GPU. So its the "quiet" one you talk of. However, you won't really find much higher wattage in other laptops of this size. The size is the limiting factor for the heat dissipation and therefore the wattage of the GPU. Look up YouTube reviews. They say the sweet spot of price to performance is the RTX3070 version. Though I don't know if there is a 32gb RTX3070 option.
