“Purchased the Asus Q537 model on sale, I was wondering would it be better to return it and spend a little bit more money for this laptop? Main uses are daily tasks as well as learning to video edit and some mild gaming as well.”

The Q537 is not recommended for gaming. If you plan to game as well, then this laptop would be a better choice.
