The 1gb ssd is fine and you can use the m15 out of box. I got it on January finding it has bloated software and randomly shuts down even when not playing a game running at only 60 C. I don't think it's a great buy at $1500 but bestbuy has only a 14 day return policy and a geeksquad service coverage was offered at a massive $250. Bestbuy really needs to up thiet game for my future purchases will be from Asus or Alienware themselves by passing the big box retailers.
