“When upgrading the RAM module on this computer, do you use single ranked or "dual ranked" ram? Why is the maximum upgrade capacity ram module only 16gb and not 32gb? Please see the attached image of "Crucial" branded ram.”

The RAM rank is your choice, both are compatible. The board only supports 24GB of total memory, therefore a 16GB SODIMM is the largest supported expansion capacity. No image is visible.
