• A:Answer I got conflicting answers on open-box warranty: Both BestBuy customer service and the official ASUS account (seems to be) on this Q&A forum say that the ASUS open-box laptops from BestBuy have the same 1-year ASUS manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase. However, the U.S. ASUS customer service told me that the open-box products only have a 90-day warranty from ASUS. Below is the exact wording I got in e-mail from ASUS U.S. customer service: "Once the unit purchase is an open box, only 90 days warranty is provided for that device. In terms of Best Buy saying that you have the same 1-year manufacturer warranty from the purchase date as the new laptops have, you will need to verify that information with them."

Q: QuestionThis has USB-C Thunderbolt 3 that supports display port. So does the display port through Thunderbolt connect to the intel CPU graphics or the dedicated gpu? Everything I can find leads me to believe that it doesnt use the RTX GPU. so VR wont work well.

• A:Answer If VR is what you’re worried about I would say it’s a must. Granted I don’t use the type C port for much of anything. I run my rig with a 16ft usb 3.0 to type C and it runs great, the bump in graphics are amazing. I literally got done playing right now. Had to issues running VR games with this rig on the quest 2. Hard to tell if it’s using the rtx or not, but I gotta admit whatever it’s using is an improvement over standalone VR.
