“Is it normal for the battery to only last 3 hours in super light use (Word, Excel and PDF)? I have read comments that last up to 5 hours.”

• I've gotten close to 5 or 6 on a charge. Keeping the screen brightness low and turning off the keyboard backlight both should help considerably. Also, making sure that the GPU isn't in use and the laptop is in Silent mode will save power
