“Has anyone tried to run Ubuntu Linux or some variant on this laptop? I am thinking it should work with Ubuntu or Pop OS with the Nvidia Drivers but want to verify the Linux drivers work with this model.”

The laptop was only qualified, validated and was released with Windows OS only, ASUS doesn't provide Linux drivers. If a Linux distro has compiled the necessary drivers for the laptop, it will work.

Please try again later.In 2023, on my GU603, most works except for problems with the audio (volume controls only turn two speakers up and down but do not work for the other two), the Rog Zephyrus keyboard lighting does not work/can not be controlled... otherwise, Nvidia and Intel drivers work good. Make sure you manually select the proprietary Nvidia drivers in the Software &Updates app.
