For authentication, it has WPA/WPA2 in personal and enterprise options, WPA3 only personal. There is an AI Protection tool in the router software/mobile app you can turn on to prevent and alert you of incoming connections. It has additional tabs for malicious site blocking, two-way IPS and infected device prevention/blocking.

It literally took like 45 seconds and the firmware was updated with all the most current patches to any security vulnerabilities. It will also check and update automatically at set times of your choosing each day if you want it to. Imo the security is excellent and there is a lot of manual customization.
