You are correct, it is not a touch screen, but I do not let the wife or kid use it either as it is a gaming machine. The touch screen laptops and monitors are distinctly advertised as such.

It is not touch screen I had this for a bit but ended up exchanging it for a different ASUS computer. The reason being that it doesn't have an Ethernet port. This was the only thing I didn't like about the PC, so the ASUS I have now is pretty much the same but with that Ethernet port.
