This is because ALL rtx 4070 LAPTOP VERSIONS have 8Gb of VRAM. I know its marketing BS, and in many ways is kinda scammy. But the truth is that rtx 4070 laptops all only have 8gb of vram. The desktop versions have 12gb and are also much faster clock speeds. Pretend they are two different GPUs
