Hold on, the panel is not low quality. A 100% RGB panel that can reach 144 Hz is not low quality, it is just lower resolution. Also, the screen gets uncomfortably bright in darker rooms and I had to turn it down. For the other stuff, the top cover is 100% Metal, the GPU is better than anything else in this class, and it has a 90 Watt Hour battery, which is insane considering many others are are 70. So, there are certainly compromises like 12th Gen CPU, 1080P display, and DDR4, but for the most part the laptop is fantastic for the money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It has a lower quality LCD, a 1080p IPS 144hz 16:9 ratio.. It's not a bad panel it's just not quite the QHD 165hz+ 16:10 aspect ratio you see on the higher end ones. It has a single zone RGB keyboard, the unit is mostly plastic all over with no frills or bells and whistles.. It's also using the older 12th gen CPU and not the new 13th gen.. All of these things save a bit of money making this a good value overall.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I agree with the other answer, lower quality display (1080p, instead of 1440p, or 2k/4k), 1 year out of date Intel CPU (12th gen instead of 13th), & limited keyboard lighting and other aesthetics. I also wanted to point out that having an older 12th gen CPU, also means it is using the older (& significantly slower) DDR4 RAM instead of DDR5. All other chipsets are also last generation, including the; WiFi, on-board graphics (which is used when not gaming), storage controller, audio, ethernet, power management, etc.. It is entirely a last generation laptop, with a next generation NVIDIA Graphics card (RTX 4070).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I'd say this laptop is better than a lot of laptops with similar specs even though it has the last generation processor. I think this processor is better, but it does get too hot for my taste running in the 90s on the highest settings. The ram also being DDR4 instead of DDR5. The screen quality is amazing better than some other budget laptops for this price range.
