Yes, it's "compatible", no, it is not G-SYNC capable. It uses Freesync, which is an -open standard- "adaptive sync" technology designed to offer a similar perk reducing tearing on the image during fast paced gaming and the Nvidia cards can do Freesync. G-SYNC is proprietary to Nvidia, and usually is more expensive than a Freesync panel. I use 2 144Hz, 1ms Freesync monitors on my machine and it does a great job cutting down on tearing and I didn't have to pay the G-SYNC tax :)
