Hi there, thank you for your question. Being at maximum temperature while running a workload isn't necessarily cause for concern. Intel processors constantly monitor their temperature and can very rapidly adjust their frequency and power consumption to prevent overheating and damage. So long it does not get to the T Junction (the maximum thermal junction temperature that a processor will allow prior to using internal thermal control mechanisms to reduce power and limit temperature), everything should be fine. The T Junction of the Intel® Core™ i7-12650H Processor is 100°C. Just in case the problem progresses, here is an article that can guide you in choosing a better cooler for processors that do not include a cooler: https://www.intel.la/content/www/xl/es/gaming/resources/cpu-cooler-liquid-cooling-vs-air-cooling.html. Thank you for choosing Intel!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes during heavy loads such as gaming the cpu does normally run around 80-95°c. It is safe up to 100°c where it will thermal throttle itself to stay under the limit. I found personally that using Throttlestop to turn off the Intel CPU turbo/boost mode to be the best solution for my own peace of mind with longevity. Temps hover between 60-75°c even 6-7 hours into a game session and doesn't affect gaming at all. Max setting 1440p 60fps for me most games
