Yes. And yes, but check the speed and try to match it. Don't empty the piggy bank for it. Depending on the software 2x8gb in Dual channel might be faster than 24gb total mixed.. And there is the theory more is better than Dual. And that different brands may not work well. And there is the theory you will barely tell the difference. Seems if you use just 8gb you might be able to tell. Do the reading and decide what is best for your needs. Seems gaming Dual is better, but some games more is better. Video editing seems more is better Half the battle is keeping the machine clean of background programs and unknown processes.
