“This came with a 3200 8gbddr4. I installed a second 8gb ram 3200mhz xmp, as it was specified by asus. But the total frequency ends up working at 2933mhz and it can't be overclocked. Does this laptop work just with a 2933mhz cap? Did I do something wrong?”

The laptop does support 3200Mhz, if the RAM utility is reported a lower speed, please check if the memory utility program is up to date and the RAM sticks do have identical specification.
