The ASUS TUF Gaming FX707VV-RS74 supports DDR4(3200MHz), dual-channel memory. The factory-installed 16GB memory is configured as two 8GB sticks which is removable. If you want to upgrade to 32GB, you would indeed need to replace them with two 16GB sticks.
