• Yes, the 50 series cards will work with a PC-Express 3.0 interface. There is a bit of a performance hit though. Benchmarks by TechPowerUp at 1080p/1440p/2160p for the 5090 provided.

• The ASUS TUF-RTX5080-O16G-GAMING graphics card uses the PCI Express 5.0 bus standard. While it is optimized for PCIe 5.0 to take full advantage of the bandwidth, it remains backward compatible with PCIe 3.0. However, using it with a PCIe 3.0 motherboard may result in reduced performance due to the lower bandwidth of the older standard.
