It largely depends on not just the cores but the generation. If it's a 4 core processor on the same generation or newer. You may want to pick the 4 core processor. Regardless of that, 4GB of RAM typically means the processor will be weaker, as no device uses only 4GBs of RAM nowadays. You're better off with higher ram at this pricepoint since it will bottleneck (slow) your pc down if you have too many windows open at once.
