Yes. I am currently running this laptop at 48 GB. The specs say you cannot do this, but I am using the 16 GB original memory and added a 32 GB stick of memory. 48 GB of memory might be overkill.

For the storage, there is only one SSD slot, so you must remove the one it ships with and add your own. This of course requires you to re-install Windows or clone the original drive. I installed my own 2 TB drive.

Also (and this is aimed at KonroyB's question, which he posed as part of his reply): the reason ASUS keeps providing a lower RAM limit than others experience is that computer designers always aim for a certain limit on all specs (not just RAM), and that is what they sell and certify. Anything past that is extra (think gravy), but they don't promise it, because then if 1 out of 10,000 computers didn't meet these advanced specs, they would be legally liable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.ASUS keeps reporting this incorrect information. This laptop works perfectly fine beyond the 16 GB limit they claim. I just installed a 32 GB RAM stick and with the original 16 GB I now have 48 GB of RAM with no issues. I'd be interested to know why ASUS keeps saying this is not possible.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, the RAM and SSD on this laptop are upgradeable. The SSD can be upgraded to a 2TB NVMe M.2 maximum and the available RAM slot will support a maximum size of 16GB DDR4.
