A:Answer This particular model blows the doors off a Core i3. The CPU is 2/3 as fast as a current Asus gaming laptop that sells for $1500. And 512 GB SSD disk space - 2x what the kid is asking for, and granted it’s only half a terabyte, but your kid won’t need a terabyte for, I bet, about 5 years or more (and you can always add an external disk). But I hear this machine has Windows S-Mode so you may need a friend to help you do the free upgrade to Win Home. Or the Geek Squad. Or if you prefer the security, keep S-Mode but then you can only access what runs on the Edge browser or whatever approved apps you buy on Microsoft store - basically Microsoft’s version of what Google calls a Chromebook computer. PS, the Chromebooks you can buy are about 4x slower than this computer.
