“What type of solid state drive can be installed into this laptop to use for booting and operating it? Is there a specific kind or is any brand and type SSD fine? I would get at least a 256 or a 512GB. Then, how is the HD set up for storage use only?”

There is a port for an SSD inside. My hard drive goes too slow, and I want to use that for storage but use an SSD for faster speed.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This unit has a 1 Tb drive in it. I hear a motor running, so it must be a hard drive rather than an SSD. I don't think any other drive could be installed internally as the unit is so thin. (No CD/DVD drive built in) Any extra drive would have to be external. The unit responds very rapidly. I use it for song storage. Some of my PDFs contain over 400 songs. I am very happy with it. The unit will update it's version of Windows 11. It will take quite a while to accomplish.
