Although Asus states that you can add 8GB of dual-channel RAM for a maximum of 16GB, I searched this model on one of the major RAM manufacturers and found that you can actually add a 32GB module, for a total of 40GB (counting the soldered 8GB). Of course, this excludes use of dual-channel, but it more than makes up for it with the much increased total capacity.

The laptop comes with 8GB of DDR4(3200MHz), Dual Channel RAM soldered onto the motherboard, but it has an additional slot that allows you to upgrade the RAM up to a maximum of 16GB. As for the storage, the device has one M.2 2280, Gen4x4 SSD slot that supports a maximum capacity of 1TB.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I know that the RAM can be upgraded to 40 GB. The internal storage maybe upgradeable too, but I prefer to use two External 20 TB Hard Drives from Seagate for all my storage so I don't have to use the cloud. I can handle that storage wirelessly coz I set up my laptop with Linux Mint and got that ability as part of Linux installation.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Another poster stated that one can add another 32GB to the laptop but that doing so "excludes use of dual-channel". That's not how it works. If you add a 32GB stick of ram for a total of 40GB, 8GB from that stick will be used in dual channel mode with the 8GB RAM that came with the laptop, so 16GB will run dual channel. The rest of the RAM on the 32Gb stick will run in single channel.
