It's a good all around laptop and should serve most students well. Keep in mind the price. It's sadly too often that they ruin, drop, lose or have their laptops stolen. With this particular unit, at least you're not out 1000's! I highly recommend it. Cloud back-up is a good idea for any computer, especially in these situations. Lose the laptop, still got that term paper!
