I don't have a ps4 but as far as i know it should work. When i bought the monitor it came with an hdmi cord. So it should work just fine, however you may need some better speakers for good quality sound. I have personally never used the on board speakers but from some other reviews i found they mentioned they weren't the best. But then again i don't think i have ever heard of a monitor having good quality built in speakers either.
