I have only owned one Asus laptop which I purchased at Best Buy back in November 2020, an Asus Zenbook 15.6" entry level gaming laptop, 10th Gen Intel i7 with 16 GB RAM. The only issue I had was in mid 2022 where the WIFI stopped working, but I was able to resolve the issue by diagnosing and finding a fix to the common issue. I have not had any further issues with WIFi since then. As of April 2026, the Asus Zenbook is still working great. Battery life has deteriorated over the years, that's to be expected. The other great thing about this laptop is up to now - the fan only comes on when I am doing an anti-virus scan (the laptop sits in an elevated aluminum laptop stand. This Asus laptop here has an advantage of 32 GB RAM and great military grade build quality. I would suspect that if you were still considering purchasing or have purchased this laptop, it would easily last you 4 - 5 years minimum. Additionally, my husband purchased an Asus Vivobook S 15 laptop back in March 2022, he uses that laptop at least 8-10 hours each day during the week. It is still working 4 years later without any issues. Husband used to buy HP Envy laptops for several years, but unfortunately had a couple of poor ownership experiences and had to switch brands. So far the Asus laptops in this household are doing well and have been very reliable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have an ASUS U46E that I bought in Nov 2011, almost 15 years ago. I replaced the HDD with an SSD about 8 years ago, and it gave it a second life. Still going strong!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Typically, ASUS laptop was designed to last for 5 years or more with proper care and maintenance, and some can even last a decade or more. Key factors influencing lifespan include regular cleaning, avoiding extreme temperatures, proper battery management, and upgrading components. More expensive and durable models, like those with "military-grade" standards, are built to endure more rigorous use and may last longer.
