“Do they all run very hot. After complaints to it running very hot, Asus said use it on a hard flat surface or get a cooling pad. This seems odd as it is supposed to be a laptop. So do they all run hot or was it just bought one with issues?”

When I use it unplugged, I make sure to use whisper mode for the fan and battery save mode and I never once had it overheat with me. When plugged into power, and I'm at a desk using it, I put fan to normal and then off battery saver. No running hot there either.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have never had a laptop that does not get hot under load. That being said this one is the same to me. It picks up air through vents on The bottom so if you are blocking them it is only natural that it is goi g to get hot. This issue is common with the ultra light weight laptops.
