This particular machine is capable of running a lot of high graphic demand games but it's not a gaming laptop. The higher the demand on the graphics card the hotter it will get the more you push it. You can try an external cooling pad that lets more air get underneath if you're using it on a table or maybe have a fan blowing across it when you game with it. Gaming machines have graphic systems that are designed to stay cool. Too much heat in a computer is not good as it will eventually melt all the solder joints. The one we bought gets warm watching movies but that's the extent of the graphic demand we put on it.
