“I bought a Zenbook A14 as I love my ProArt. But I can not get Adaptive Lighting turned off through the Windows Settings menus. I turned off energy saver. Its an issue whether I am using the battery or plugged in. It just constantly changes the display.”

You can turn off Adaptive Lighting inside Settings > Settings > Display, under "Brightness & Color", click on Brightness to expand options, then turn off "Change brightness based on content". Additionally, set your brightness level manually.
