“How convenient is the device to carry around? I'm in college and go between classes and want to use it for taking notes in tablet mode. Also does the windows surface pen work with this device?”

• This ASUS flipbook is pretty heavy, but my old Dell laptop (made out of plastic) is heavier at over 5 lbs. AND cumbersome so that should give you something to think about. I bought a Microsoft Surface Pen for the flipbook and it works great!
