So long as you're delivering the same power specs via USB-C (watts and amperes) and the computer is not heating beyond its throttle temps, your experience should be the same as the DC port.

Running in battery mode will discharge the battery faster than normal due to high system resource utilization or high power consumption while gaming or while running high-intensive programs.
