This shouldn't need any additional software on your computer. When you plug it in and insert a CD/DVD it should show up in your files.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I doubt your still looking for an answer but if your on PC then the drive comes bundled with a disc that has all the needed software on it that allows it to burn, CDs, DVDs, and Blu-Ray, Rip CD and (I think) DVD files, and back up files between the computer and discs. However, it specifies that the software only works on PC. On other platforms, sadly I don't know but the drive states that it works with mac so you would just need to find third-party software for it I would guess. If you just want to watch and listen to CD and DVD then VLC Media player works fine and is free/open source for a multitude of platforms. Hopefully that is helpful in some way.
