reviews I've read have had the same problem probably just bad batch of batteries
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Please try to disconnect the AC adapter and let the unit drain for 24 hours to clear the memory and reset the hardware to default settings. After doing this, please reconnect your AC adapter then power on the unit. If the problem persists, please press and hold the power button, repeat this process a couple of times, until you see an ASUS logo or a battery icon. If a battery icon shows up, let the battery charge fully before turning it on again. Please make sure your phone is up to date with the latest firmware version to JP-14.02.1808.63 for optimal system performance. Disable connection that are not used will also help; such as WiFi, Location, Network data usage, WiFi Hotspot, Bluetooth, GPS.
